Creative Expression
Opportunities for artistic, musical, and innovative thinking
Our whole-child approach recognizes that students' academic success is interconnected with their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.

Our Dedicated School Board Members
Innovation
Innovation Teacher
Our Innovation program encourages students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop technological literacy. Students engage in hands-on projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM).
Through the Innovation curriculum, students learn to collaborate, communicate effectively, and adapt to new challenges—essential skills for success in the 21st century.
Creativity
Creativity Teacher
Our Creativity program nurtures students' artistic expression and imagination. Through various art forms and mediums, students develop their unique creative voices while learning techniques and principles of design.
The Creativity curriculum helps students build confidence in self-expression, appreciate diverse perspectives, and recognize the value of the creative process—skills that enhance learning across all subject areas.
Physical Education
PE Teacher
Our Physical Education program promotes physical fitness, motor skill development, and healthy lifestyle choices. Students participate in a variety of activities designed to build coordination, strength, and endurance while having fun.
The PE curriculum emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal goal-setting, helping students develop habits and attitudes that support lifelong physical and mental wellbeing.
Garden & IT Support
Garden Teacher and Technology Support
Our Garden program connects students with nature through hands-on experiences growing food and tending plants. Students learn about ecology, nutrition, and sustainable practices while developing patience and responsibility.
As Technology Support Specialist, this teacher also helps integrate digital tools into classroom learning, ensuring students and staff can effectively utilize technology resources.
Music
Music Teacher
Our Music program introduces students to diverse musical traditions, instruments, and forms of expression. Students develop skills in rhythm, melody, and harmony while gaining confidence performing individually and in groups.
The Music curriculum enhances students' cognitive development, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness, enriching their educational experience and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
How Can YOU Support Your Child's Teacher?
Desk Ducking
Similar to "Jeep Ducking," leave a small rubber duck on your teacher's desk as a token of appreciation and fun surprise.
Starbucks
A cup of coffee is always appreciated by hardworking teachers who often start their days early.
Volunteer Time
Offer to help with classroom activities, field trips, or special events to support your teacher and engage with your child's education.
Cold Spring Foundation
The Cold Spring Foundation raises funds to support the Specialist programs and educational opportunities at Cold Spring School. Through your generous contributions, we're able to provide our whole child approach that might otherwise be beyond our budget.
Cold Spring Parent Club
Our Parent Club plays a vital role in building community and supporting school initiatives. Through fundraising, volunteer coordination, and event planning, the Parent Club enhances the educational experience for all students by providing additional funds for classroom supplies.
Parent Club meetings provide opportunities to connect with other families, learn about school activities, and contribute your ideas and talents to our school community.
